Luzern Weekend

 

If you want to visit one of the most beautiful cities and mountains in Switzerland, all while enjoying a wonderful Saturday night out in town then this event is for you ! Join us for two amazing days and one amazing night in Luzern!

For the first day you will have the chance to go on an excursion to the awesome mountain of Rigi ! This day features a cool funicular ride up the mountain, followed by a short hike where you will be able to admire amazing views of the city and the surrounding region! We will then take the train back down and head to Luzern in the afternoon. After checking in and resting at the hostel, you will have the chance to enjoy a great 3-course dinner with all your friends at the hostel and meet other erasmus students from Neuchatel and Zurich! (Main course is Alpine Mac n Cheese, Note: the dish is not vegan and may contain gluten and lactose). Finally, you can party all night with your wonderful ESN Committee in the city's best bar and club !

On the second day you will have the incredible opportunity to visit the most popular museum in Switzerland: the Swiss museum of Transportation !! You will find a large collection of locomotives, cars, boats and planes as well as objects in the field of communication and technology! There are also multiple simulators including helicopter rescue! This museum is a must for any fan of Switzerland’s best feature: it’s transportation!  In the afternoon, we will be visiting the iconic Chapel Bridge and Old town of Luzern with our friends from ESN Luzern! We will then head back to Lausanne in the evening.

The price includes: Train to and from Luzern, 1 night in the hostel, breakfast on sunday morning, dinner saturday night (includes entree, main course and dessert), Funicular ride up and down Rigi Mountain, Ticket for the Swiss museum of Transport and 2 day bus and tram pass for the city of Luzern
