WHAT: A city tour of Bern followed by the lightshow on the Bundesplatz

WHEN: Saturday, November 24th, meeting point at 2pm

WHERE : in the main hall of Lausanne train station

PRICE: 
- 15 chf with ESN card, including train ticket and one drink.
- 20 chf without ESN card, including train ticket and one drink.

> CHUV students: on Tuesday, November 20th and on Thursday, November 22nd at AEML office (08.500) from 12:15 pm to 13:00 pm

Dear exchange student,

Visiting Bern is a must during your stay in Switzerland! The capital city is just 60 minutes away from Lausanne, and this event is going to be a great occasion to meet with exchange students from Fribourg, as ESN Fribourg is going to join us on this trip.
We are first going to do a city tour, seeing the lovely old town of Bern (UNESCO cultural heritage), the federal house and the city hall, as well as greeting the famous bears - symbols of the city - and learn about why the bear is the symbol of Bern. From there, we are going to walk uphill to the Rosengarten, a beautiful pictures spot with a nice view on the old town and the river Aare.
After a dinner in small groups with three different options, we will go and watch the famous light show at the Parliament building. The ‘Rendez-vous Bundesplatz’ is a special event combining light, sound and images to create a beautiful atmosphere. Taking place for the seventh time in a row, it has become a tradition for young and old.

La visite de Berne est un incontournable durant votre séjour en Suisse! La capitale est à seulement 60 minutes de Lausanne, et cet événement sera une belle occasion de rencontre les étudiants en échange de Fribourg, car ESN Fribourg se joint à nous pour ce voyage. 
Nous allons tout d'abord commencer par un tour de la ville, voir la charmante vieille ville de Berne (qui figure au patrimoine culturel de l'UNESCO), le palais fédéral ainsi que l'hôtel de ville, sans oublier de saluer les célèbres ours, symboles de la ville, et apprendre pourquoi l'ours est le symbole de Berne. Ensuite, nous marcherons plus haut en direction du Rosengarten, un très bel endroit pour prendre des photos et où la vue sur la vieille ville et l'Aar est belle. 
Après avoir mangé en petits groupes suivant trois options, nous irons voir le célèbre spectacle de lumières au bâtiment du Parlement. Le "Rendez-vous Bundesplatz" est un événement particulier combinant la lumière, le son et les images pour créer une atmosphère envoûtante. Cet événement a lieu pour la septième fois consécutive et est devenu une tradition pour petits et grands.
