Hello everyone!
Who has not heard of Charlie Chaplin, of his famous moustache, his derby hat and clumsy walk? Having become a great Hollywood movie star, Chaplin is one of those artists who has crossed generations and is still remembered today. However, who was the man behind the character? What was his childhood like and what forced him to flee the United States and come to Switzerland?
We are taking you on a wonderful adventure and invite you to come and visit the Charlie Chaplin Museum based in Chaplin’s own home that still belongs to the Chaplin family. Sink into his universe and his private life, see how he lived, what he achieved, how everything started and learn more about the man he was before becoming one of the greatest artist in movie history.
We will be having a guided tour through Chaplin’s life as we walk around his house that was left as it was. See how the man lived with his family and discover from up close the décor of his most famous movies. It will fill you with wonder!
After that, we will go down to the lake in the city of Vevey where a statue of Charlie Chaplin has been erected in his memory and where we will go for a quick lunch break at Charlot, a very tasty sandwich shop. Yes, it’s going to be a very Chapliny day!

Qui n’a pas entendu parler de Charlie Chaplin, de sa fameuse moustache, son chapeau melon et sa drôle de démarche? Après être devenu une des plus grandes stars du cinéma hollywoodien, Chaplin fait partie de ces artistes qui ont traversé les générations et qui est encore reconnu aujourd’hui. Mais qui était l’homme caché derrière le personage? A quoi ressemblait son enfance et pourquoi a-t-il quitté les Etats-Unis pour venir s’établir en Suisse?
Nous vous entraînons dans une magnifique aventure et nous vous invitons à venir visiter le Chaplin World qui se situe dans le manoir du grand artiste, qui d’ailleurs appartient toujours à la famille Chaplin. Plongez-vous dans son univers et dans sa vie privée, découvrez comment il vivait, ce qu’il a accompli, comment tout a commencé et apprenez à connaître l’homme qu’il était avant de devenir un des plus grands artistes de l’histoire du cinéma.
Nous aurons une visite guidée qui nous racontera la vie de Charlie Chaplin au fur et à mesure que nous avançerons dans sa demeure. Voyez comment la famille Chaplin y vivait et découvrez de près les décors de ses plus grands succès cinématographiques. Vous en aurez plein la vue !
Ensuite, nous irons dans la ville de Vevey au bord du lac où se trouve la statue de Charlie Chaplin, érigée en son honneur. Nous nous octroierons une pause-sandwich chez Charlot, une sandwicherie très gourmande.
Oui, ce sera une journée à la Chaplin !
