HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE YOU:
The walk can take you from 30min to a couple of hours depending on how much you want to wander around.
WHAT IT IS:
You live in Lausanne or its surroundings and you’ve never walked through the Sauvabelin area?? This is a mistake you shall absolutely fix, it’s simply a marvelous place. The wooden tour with its spectacular architecture will certainly impress you. And if you are courageous enough to climb its 302 steps, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of Lausanne, the lake and the mountains! Behind the tower you’ll also find a small lake and a tiny zoo we definitely recommend you to check out.
The tower is open every day from 8am to 5pm and you can access it for free so motivate a couple of friends of yours and go enjoy this place!

HOW TO GET THERE:
- METRO M2 direction Croisette to Sallaz & 15min Walk
- BUS 16 direction Grand Vennes to Sauvabelin Lac & 5min Walk
- Running: from Lausanne Gare, a 3km and a 250m ascent will lead you directly there! Be careful it’s a fun but tough run!
WHAT YOU NEED: Nothing special even though you shouldn’t go with high heels!
