Multitude of small, rustic wooden chalets offering warming drinks, local and seasonal culinary delights, Christmas decorations and gift ideas, artisanal goods, and else what are waiting for you to explore them! So, let’s all inhale the smell of the mulled wine (or hot chocolate ), plunge in the sea of lights, and let ourselves be enchanted by the very special charm of the Christmas period .
We will start our journey by strolling through Basel’s beautiful and festively decorated historical center and enjoying the view over the Rhine. Then, since we are here, we cannot miss an opportunity to visit (and warm ourselves up in) the Kunstmuseum, Switzerland’s biggest and most important art museum that houses the oldest public art collection in the world! And then, we will end the day with its most exciting part: The Christmas Market.
